MS Office 2007
The MS Office 2007 Compatibility Pack will be deployed to NTSCHOOLS during the period 16th April – 22nd April 2009. The Compatibility Pack allows documents created in MS Office 2007 to be opened in MS Office 2003.
Deployment is scheduled to begin at 9am each day, machines booted after 9am will receive the software the first time the computer communicates to the server.
The installation is expected to take no longer than 15 minutes and does not require any user intervention. However, users may experience slight performance degradation.
It is important that you DO NOT reboot computers during installation of the software, however all computers will need to be powered up on the morning of your scheduled deployment in order to receive the Compatibility Pack.
Installation process is listed below:
- A task bar popup message will notify you that the installation has started.
- A progress window will remain on the screen in the foreground until the application is completed.
- The progress window can be moved to one side but will remain on top of other windows.
