A - E Reporting

The A-E reporting requirements for Years 1-10 have changed. The two major differences to reporting are:

  • Reports to parents will now be at strand level instead of element level.
  • A-E grades are to be used to report on achievement and progress for all areas of learning taught and assessed for each semester.
  • PDF Creator Installer (exe 15.1mb) - This program is needed to generate CeTool reports in word and pdf. Double click on the installer and follow the prompts.
  • Troubleshooting (1.9mb)
This document provides troubleshooting advice for the most common problems schools face when using the CeTool to generate NT standardised Reports (A-E reports).
  • Decisions Checklist (154kb)
Decisions to be made prior to Curriculum eTool (CeTool) Report setup.
  • Report Setup (590kb)
These notes are designed to support SAMS Administrators and school leaders to work through the reports set up phase so that teachers can finalise assessment data and comments. (word version This word copy of the training notes are for schools who want to adjust the notes for their staff. This means you could delete options that don't apply to your staff before providing them instructions.)
  • Report Data Entry and Review (527kb)
These notes are designed to support teachers work through the data entry and review phase of the reports software. Monitoring data should be entered before starting this process. (word version This word copy of the training notes are for schools who want to adjust the notes for their staff. This means you could delete options that don't apply to your staff before providing them instructions.)
  • Report Printing (400kb)
These notes are designed for SAMS Administrators and school leaders who are responsible for the process for printing the final reports. (word version This word copy of the training notes are for schools who want to adjust the notes for their staff. This means you could delete options that don't apply to your staff before providing them instructions.)
  • Creating Contexts (107kb)
These notes are for schools who wish to create contexts that are not available as system defined contexts.
  • Turning Contexts on and off (161kb)
These notes are for SAMS Administrators who wish to turn off inactive contexts. For schools who mainly use the Global context for Learning Areas it is advisable that other unused contexts are turned off. This makes sure that teachers do not choose the wrong context when entering monitoring and makes the report set-up faster.
