Two upgrade of this software are planned in 2007 with the first occurring in Week 6 Term 2. The purpose of this update is to improve the functionality of the software based on feedback from schools and to add new capability, like the addition of Exit Outcomes to reports.

The second upgrade is scheduled for early Term 4 where new functionality involving the set up of reports, the types of reports available for reporting and the finalisation of the signatures capability will be added.

Upgrades

Two upgrades of the CeTool software are planned in 2008 (NT Curriculum Module of SAMS) with the first occurring late Term 1/early Term 2. The purpose of this update is to improve the functionality of the software and add new capability based on feedback from schools. The second upgrade is scheduled for late Term 3/early Term 4.

When upgrades are ready, SAMS administrators will be contacted by the SAMS team in IT Services Division. They will advise that installer and documentation needed to upgrade the CeTool is located in the Updates folder on the W drive.
When these upgrades become available SAMS Administrators are asked to:

  • review the installations instructions
  • plan the installation of the upgrade
  • request any support they may require

Principals will also receive information about the upgrade through the Principal’s Weekly Update. This can be accessed by all school staff at http://staff.deet.nt.gov.au/principals/index.shtml
