ntschools DePass Overview

User Information | Delegate Information

ntschools DePass is an online system providing NTSchool users with a single place to record contact details and request new accounts, or modify their access.

Functions include;

  • Changing passwords
  • Authentication questions
  • Changing user contact details
  • Changing user roles & responsibilities
  • Unlock user accounts
  • Moving a user to another school
  • Enable or disable a user account

Below are some quick steps in how to make changes to your profile in DePass.

User Information

How to Create a New Account

  • Go to DePass
  • Do not log on if you are an existing user
  • Select the 'Click here for user registration' link
  • Enter your details (a notification email will be sent to the address you supply)
  • Click Submit
  • On the confirmation screen of your account details select OK
  • Once you receive the notification email your account is ready to use.

How to Change Your Password

  • Select change password on menu screen
  • Type new password
  • Confirm password
  • Submit


How to Answer your Authentication Question

  • Select change authentication question link
  • Type answer in box
  • Click save
  • Ok

How to Change your Contact Details

  • Select change contact details link
  • Select the 'Myself' button
  • Add or change required information'
  • Click Submit

For DET staff: Your contact details are uploaded to the DET Directory

How to Change your Roles and Responsibilities

  • Select the 'Change User Role and Responsibilities' link
  • Select the 'Myself' button
  • Change your Role and/or Additional Responsibilities
  • Click Submit
  • Your request will be submitted to your Approver
  • Once you receive the notification email your account has been updated.


How to Move your Account to Another School

  • Select the 'Mover User to Another School' link
  • Select the 'Myself' button
  • Change your School
  • Click Submit
  • Your request will be submitted to the Approver of the new school
  • Once you receive the notification email your account has been moved.

How to Disable your Account

  • Select the 'Enable or Disable User' link
  • Select the 'Myself' button
  • Select the 'Disable User' check box.
  • Click Submit
  • Your request will be submitted to your Approver
  • Your account has been disabled

Delegate Information

How to Change Password for Another User

  • Select the 'Change Password for Another User' link
  • You are required to authenticate by loging on
  • Search for the user
  • Type new password
  • Tab to the next field and confirm the password.
  • Do not uncheck the ticked boxes
  • Select the Change Password button
  • Scroll to bottom of page and Click OK
  • Notify the user of the change
  • The user will be required to change their password at next logon

 

How to Unlock User

  • Select the 'Unlock User' link
  • You are required to authenticate by loging on
  • Search for the user
  • Select the check box next to the users name
  • Click on 'Unlock' button
  • On the confirmation screen select OK
  • Scroll to bottom of workflow page and Click OK
  • The user account has been unlocked
  • Notify the user

 

How to Approve User Requests
Only members of the Principal and Senior Staff group can approve requests.

  • Go to DePass and log in
  • Select the 'View Inbox' link
  • Select the check box next to the request
  • Click on the request in the 'Process' column
  • Approve or Reject the request
