The Northern Territory Department of Employment Education
and Training commenced a major program of technology, curriculum
and pedagogical reform in 2001. The Curriculum Framework has
introduced fundamental changes to learning and teaching practices.
Electronic tools and an extensive knowledge base are required
to support these changes.
Critical to the uptake is a well-integrated suite of tools
and information sources that meet the needs of teachers and
school administrators.
Centrally managed tools available for use include:
- Content Management System (Scootle)
- Curriculum eTool
- Learning Management systems (LAMS / espace)
