ICTC Mailing Lists
Two mailing lists have been
set up for ICT Coordinators (ICTCs). The purpose of these
lists are to facilitate and support communication between
the ICTCs in NT schools.
- The first list, ictc@lists.latis.net.au, is for general
communication and ongoing discussions between the ICTCs.
Individual ICTCs can decide whether or not they wish to
be subscribed to this list as it is relatively high volume.
The ICTC list has been set up to allow professional discussion—personal
messages should not be posted to this list. If you are replying
to a message and it does not concern others please DO NOT
hit reply. Create a new message and address it to the individual
you wish to communicate with. Remember if you DO hit reply
the return message goes to the 700 people on the list! If
you are currently receiving these messages and do not wish
to please contact Online Services onlineservices.det@nt.gov.au
and ask to be removed from the list.
- The second list, ictc-broadcast@lists.latis.net.au, is
for information broadcasts only. All ICTCs must remain subscribed
to this list so that they are kept up to date with important
messages. Messages can only be posted to the list by a member
of the Online Services Team or by the Office of the Chief
Executive. This list configuration has been put in place
to reduce traffic flow on the list.
A mailing list is essentially a list of email
addresses identified by a single name, such as ictc@lists.latis.net.au.
When an email message is sent to the mailing list name, it
is automatically forwarded to the email addresses of all of
the people who have been subscribed to the list.
If you would like to be subscribed to the
ICTC mailing list, you should contact the Online Services
Team and provide them with your full name, your email address,
the name of the school at which you work, and your position
title.

Once you have been subscribed to the list,
you will receive a copy of every message that is posted to
the list.
To send/initiate a message to all the people
currently subscribed to the list, send mail to ictc@lists.latis.net.au.
You should be aware that any message you send to the list
is seen by everyone on the list. If you reply to a message
you receive from the list, again, all members of the list
will receive a copy of your message.
